Q1: Can you afford to not have a website or have a poor looking website in today's environment?

A1: Every time someone sees an advert for a company or service whether this is in a paper, flyer or from a business card, one of the first thing we all seem to do now is go to look at their web pages.  This gives your potential customers that all important first impression of your company and without a web site or a poor looking web site this can certainly put people off using your business and they may well go elsewhere.  Having a website or knowing where to go and get one, can be quite difficult for some people who don't really want to have to learn a new language just to communicate with the 'coders' or be distracted from running their business - hopefully this is where we can help.  You web pages can be a simple as a few pages telling people what you do, how to communicate with you and maybe showing some examples of your services.  It could also be more detailed with interactive sections and the ability to order products and services over the Internet - but you don't need to worry about how this is done or what is achievable at this stage.  Just get in touch, we can chat or meet to discuss what it is you would like to be able to do or maybe just listen to what we think you could do and we can go from there...

Q2: Are customers getting the wrong impression of your company because you are using an Email address meant to be used by home users?

A2: We see many businesses using Email addresses meant to be used at home such as ' This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ).  Again this gives a poor first impression of your company and its so straight forward to rectify.  This also helps keep your personal and business communications separate which is always a good idea.  It would be far more professional and gives a better first impression to have an Email address such as ' This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. '.   Just get in touch, we can chat or meet to discuss what it is you would like to be able to do or maybe just listen to what we think you could do and we can go from there...

Q3: If your company computers or laptop failed would your business be at risk from lost or inaccessible files?

A3: Lots of companies keep there information or documents on computers rather than have lots of space dedicated to filling cabinets.  However lots do not take the necessary precautions to looking after this information.  Most people understand the concept of backup, but it is no good backing up the computer information on a backup computer or disk in the office as it does not make sure data is safe for all possible risks.  For example if you had paper files and to ensure you had a backup you copied all the paper and put it into a second filling cabinet in your office, a fire could potentially destroy both copies making the time and effort you put into the backup files wasted.  Backing up computer information is the same but there are lots of ways to do this automatically, securely and in a cost effective way when you know how.  Just get in touch, we can chat or meet to discuss what it is you would like to be able to do or maybe just listen to what we think you could do and we can go from there...

Q4: Are you paying too much for your software or running the risk of not having enough licenses because they are too expensive?

A4: Most people use Microsoft Office for letters, spreadsheets, databases or Email or maybe you use editing software to create graphical flyers, adverts or images but all these software packages which are mainstream have significant costs associated with them.  If you know what to look for there are real alternatives to most of the major software packages that have significantly lower costs and some are even free.  You just need to know where to look, have the software installed and be shown how to use them, however most are so simmilar to the major software companies own products that little is needed in terms of any training if any at all.  Just get in touch, we can chat or meet to discuss what it is you would like to be able to do or maybe just listen to what we think you could do and we can go from there...

Q5: Does every computer in your office have its own printer used by only a single person?

A5: This is a common problem even in large organisations.  Printer ownership seems to provide some sort of status improvement in office environments but in the current economical environment the cost savings that can be achieved do not seem to warrant keeping things the same.  With a single office printer you can improve printing speed, decrease stock from different cartridges or toner requirements and also only have a single printer using power and taking up space.  All these advantages can make a difference to productivity and also direct costs savings that you can benefit from.  Just get in touch, we can chat or meet to discuss what it is you would like to be able to do or maybe just listen to what we think you could do and we can go from there...
